FAST FOOD DONE PROPERLY.
As soon as we had the idea for a cafe on the train station, we knew instantly that this was it. A chance to provide some really good, wholesome food that is loved and created by real people with a passion for using healthy and nutritious ingredients. Of course not forgetting a decadent slice of cake or two and some high quality independent coffee from the guys at Extract.
The soups and stews are hand-made at our cafe in Weston, where we also create the salads full of big colours and bursting with flavour. Not to mention how much we stuff foccacia expertly made by Pullin’s bakery, locally based in Yatton, full to the brim with delicous ingredients. And trust us, there’s been a lot of extensive cake testing to bring you the best brownies in the area. We’ve also sourced an amazing range of vegan refined sugar & gluten free cakes as we don’t want anyone to miss out.
HANDS ON RECIPES, NATURALLY SOURCED.
We’re looking forward to working with Jenna Freeman who was the mastermind behind Foundations cafe in Baldwin Street. Jenna is a qualified nutritionist and we’re excited to bring on-board some of her recipes and add a pinch of Foundations to Good & Proper Bristol
We are passionate about searching out the best local produce and are excited to have some great producers on-board (check out our brilliant stockists here). Of course, if you think you’ve got a product that we should be selling get in touch and let us know. We love recommendations and love tasting food even more!
RISE & GRIND.
We are open bright and early from 5am, Monday to Friday. We have a fresh delivery of Bertinet Bakery pastries every morning and serve up lots of bacon baps using seeded overnight rolls, courtesy of Hobbs House, and bacon sourced from Worle village butchers near our home town of Weston.
Every evening we create fresh pots of overnight oats ready for the next morning, made using oats, yogurt, a splash of milk, fruit, chia seeds and (sometimes) peanut butter. Plus, we always make a dairy free option available.
Porridge is the backbone of a good Monday morning and we like to make sure you are covered. With 50g of oats (a gluten free option is available), dairy milk as standard and a choice of toppings, from honey, jam, Nutella or a banana, you are set for a hot nutritious breakfast that is going to see you through your morning.
We know you are rushing for your train, beating the morning rush and trying to make that all important connection which is why we aim to serve you in super quick time. When we were choosing the coffee set up we knew it had to be a sleek operation, with that in mind we got in touch with the guys from Extract Coffee. We now work on a La Marzocco Classic with a La Marzocco Swift duel hopper which means we can offer Extract Coffee’s very best original grind. And if you don’t want the caffeine hit, the swiss water decaf on-demand is a marriage made in coffee.
WE ARE NESTLED IN THE SUBWAY OF THE OLDEST
AND LARGEST RAILWAY STATION IN BRISTOL.
